One of the most in demand beatmakers in the game, Jake One, talks to The Drum Broker about making the sombre 'Acid Rain' beat for Chance The Rapper.
Jake uses an ill Fender Rhodes flip, adding bass and two separate vocal harmony samples on top.
The drums are courtesy of Jake's own Snare Jordan drum kit (available here), providing that classic gritty boom bap drum sound.
This is one of my favourite songs (and beats) in a long while: props to Jake One for going behind the scenes in how he made it, and props to the Drum Broker for sharing.
